The Flavorful Legacy of Mema’s Alaskan Tacos

In the 1950s, while Goompa was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska, Mema learned to make these unique tacos from a friend. The tacos were so delicious that they quickly became a family favorite, and Mema made them regularly. Over the years, she passed the recipe down to her family, and these tacos became a beloved part of our lives. We’ve called them Alaskan Tacos for as long as we can remember, and they’re truly one-of-a-kind.

Lightly fried for a perfect balance of juicy and crunchy, these tacos are unlike anything else you’ll taste. We’ve kept the dream alive through generations, and to this day, we continue to bring you quality, homemade food at a fair price. That’s our motto: Fresh. Delicious. Mema’s.
